Does the Quran promote peace? The best way to answer this difficult question is not with name-calling or insults, but with vigorous public debate on the correct interpretation of various Quran verses and the life of Muhammad. Why does the moderator not want her face to be shown?
The problem starts when you put 2 groups of people together, who each have their own personal agenda to discredit the Quran, and put the topic Does the Quran promote Peace up for debate.
At the 20min:30sec. mark Spencer quoted 8:41 to support his argument… unfortunately, as with each & every hater of the Quran, he did not read out the whole verse… thus taking everything out of context!
If he had quoted the end bit of that verse, which goes something like this:
8:41 … We revealed to Our servant on the Day of Distinction, the day when the two armies met… "
then the context becomes crystal clear to everyone!
How many such days are there? i.e. the Day of Distinction when the 2 armies met?
Would Allah require any Sunni or Shiite or whatever sectarian at any period of time to repeat the sharing of this specific war booty?
Mr.Spencer… please do not try to insult the intelligence of those who are able to read & understand the Quran by taking things out of context just to force the Quran to fit your invented narrative.
If you think you have the evidence from the Quran to fit your narrative… please have the courtesy to quote the whole verse because context is everything!

As soon as I heard that verse that was prescribed to Israel I knew david was gonna rebut it. In the beginning I was saying to myself they better not use that verse and if they do ik they won’t quote the rest of it and it’s gonna be embarrassing. And ofc they did and I cringed.

Why do these scholars of Islam continually contradict their own scripture and traditions? What happened to the Jews at Quabar when they surrendered to Mohammed? He slaughtered 800 males in just one afternoon and then proceeded to plunder their goods and properties after capturing their wives to become the sex slaves of the Umar and himself.What is peaceful about this? The west is gradually being Hoodwinked by the Sheikhs of Islam who are nothing but a bunch of trained persuaders and not necessarily truth speakers.

This affirms a larger problem with learning Islam from Muslims: objectivity. A knowledgeable Muslim wants others to believe the best about Islam, as they do, and has an interest in presenting the religion in the most flattering light. Along with basic beliefs, they may offer up simple clichés about violence and peace that sound pleasant but don’t stand up well to truth. Muslim apologetics is a game of deception. It is a constant effort to creatively obscure, with half-truth and deception. This involves playing the credential card against critics, implying that truth is determined by having a PhD or knowing Arabic rather than by what the Quran, Hadith and Sira say or don’t say.
Most people in any religion only know what is being told to them, and rarely care to question, research or expand on it. A Muslim scholar who says that “Islam means peace,” perhaps he already knows that it really means “submission ” and there is a separate Arabic word for peace (salaam). The fact is, they won’t even care anymore if they are wrong even enthusiastically clapping hands on something that doesn’t make sense.
The moderator does not want to be seen, I wonder why.
The Muslim Dr says he’s been promoting peace.
Sadly for him surah 9.29 does not agree. with him. That makes him an apostate. The penalty for that is not peaceful, very painful.
Islam is just a book of fables that Muhammad heard and liked so he put them in his false book.
The Koran is supposed to be a clear book. The Koran says no one can create a Surah like. Strange, because ants are creating Koran. This is clearly not from God. I urge Muslims to dig deeper into Islam I guarantee you will find many contradictions.
