Anthony Rogers (Trinitarian) and Solomon Jah Rodriguez (Unitarian) will debate the topic “Is Jesus the Angel of the LORD?” at 8:00pm (Eastern Time).
Dear Anthony, 1) not only did you chose an erroneous translation of Psalm 49:7…it is NOT “man” at all in the Hebrew; but refers to 'THOSE WHO TRUST IN THEIR WEALTH in verse 6. 2) By affirming that bogus translation you deny that Jesus Christ is a man.who could redeem all of us in Adam. Gotcha.
Most of the times Rogers argues by quoting Bible verses, but Solomon refutes it with saying, " It’s just a guessing" without even mentioning proper Bible verses for that refusal.
Unitarians have a major uphill battle
2:11:30 I think that the KJV translation gives the wrong impression that God the Father can be the Lord in Jude 5. But this impression fades when we look at the Greek behind the KJV. Even if for the sake of argument we accept the Greek manuscripts used by the KJV translators in Jude 4, 5, we still find that Jesus is the Lord who saved his people out of Egypt.
Jude 4 in the KJV says that certain men are “denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus”. In this verse where God is called Lord, the Greek word translated is despoten. This is not the word for Lord used in Jude 5. In Jude 5, the Greek manuscripts used by the KVJ have the word kurios. Jude 4 uses kurion to refer to Jesus and this is a different form of kurios which is used in Jude 5.
We can’t assume that the Lord in Jude 5 refers to the Father when Jude has already called Jesus the Lord in the previous sentence. We must let Jude define his terms. Jude 4 identifies Jesus as the Lord, and the next sentence in Jude 5 tells us that the Lord saved his people out of the land of Egypt. This means that the KJV can’t be used as a shield by those who deny the Lord’s pre-existence.
Jesus almost litteraly told the pharisees that the Messiah is not David’s son the way they think when he told them why does he call him his lord if he is his son.
MATTHEW 1.20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
So Mary was pregnant with christ when Christ (Angel of the Lord) appeares to Joseph in a dream? Can I get a reply from anyone who believes the Angel of the Lors is the WORD aka Christ?
so if the son did not preexist then how could god sent his son according to jesus christ?. and if jesus is the word that was with the father from the beginning then you all are calling john a lier. jesus said before abraham was i am. all of you who dont believe in the preexistence of jesus does not have the spirit of truth in you. but are just religous people. and this is the problem with foolish man made riligion there is always an element in them that deny the truth and the apsoles called these people the falling away church. so that means that very soon we will see the coming of the antichrist, and thats why you all can not understand the christ nether his word, or his testimony of the father and the testimony of the son. nebucagnazer will testify on judgement day agaist all of you because he saw the son of god in the fire with the three hebrew boys. he jesus in his preexistence thought it not rubbery to be eqaul with god but made himself of no reputation and humbled himself in the form of a servant. and came from heaven and died for us praise the lord amen. to much unbelievers and doubters in the church to today prepair to meet the lord people.
To Anthony- very knowledgeable but the more the words the less the meaning. To Rodriguez- simple and easier to understand, the simplicity of the gospel
How hard can it be to read a simple unambiguous statement of TRUTH written by someone who was very close to Jesus. In fact, he had grown up with Jesus.
‘No man has SEEN God at ANY TIME.’ - 1 John 4:12,20. This rules Jesus out from being God at ANY or even SOME TIME.
Dissecting scriptures with ‘must be’ notions wouldn’t nullify this truth. Jesus is whom he said he was. God’s SON.
Unless of course, Jesus has no clue as to who he was and the apostate RCC helped clear that issue with a Trinity theory.
Question why does it not just say the son of God entered Mary?or the word entered Mary in Luke?
Anthony ain’t no joke . Good job dear brother
Here’s one witness, Judges 13:18
And the Angel of the LORD said to him, “Why do you ask My name, seeing it is (wonderful)?”
Here’s a second witness: Isaiah 9:6
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called (Wonderful,) Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
There’s your two witnesses, problem solved😁
The term angel of the Lord in reference to Christ the second person of the Trinity is not referring to him as part of the created order of angels, rather the contextual definition of the word “aggelos” meaning messenger.

If Jesus was with God in the beginning as the word of God, John 1:1 and the word of God became flesh and dwelt among us, John 1:14 and the word of God said “I do not speak of my own, but I speak what the father gives me”, John 12:49 “who sent me” John 12:49 doesn’t that make him the messenger, or Angel of God, BIBLICALLY!
