Did Jesus die as a payment for our sin, technically yes. The end outcome from Jesus death resulted in our sin being forgiven and that is why He did it. But technically, not really. Jesus was not a sin offering. I have written this lots of times but I cannot stress it enough and how important it is to get the details right. Jesus was not killed in the manner of a valid sin offering. We can act like a wishy washy Christian and say sacrifice was a “Type”, a “Picture” or a “Concept” just like the OT sacrifices but that is not true. It may help us understand what Jesus achieved on the cross but in actuality according to the OT Law that Jesus lived and died by, because He was living in the OT, then we have to acknowledge that factually, Jesus could not have been a sin sacrifice. Jesus was not killed in the Temple. His blood was not sprinkled, His body was not burnt. Jesus was not sacrificed by a priest. Jesus was beaten and bruised making Him a Lamb “WITH Spot”, not in perfect condition and further was killed in an unclean location, above a graveyard. Jesus was unclean. Again I say Jesus was not a sin offering. He did not die in a manner that could forgive us for our sin. He was not a substitutional offering. A sin offering was made as a payment to God from an individual or from a nation for the nation. Neither a person or the nation “Paid” for the cost of the sacrifice. He was not a sin offering in the place of a person. However, Jesus death did cause our sin to be forgiven. Why? Because Jesus asked “The Father” to “forgive us”. Forgive who exactly? The people who were killing Him? The people who He knew in the crowd? No, Jesus was asking for the whole of mankind. The reason we call the OT the Old Testament and the NT the New Testament is because there is a change in the requirements of God between the two periods of time. Jesus brought in a new manner of restoration between God and man. Jesus earlier had said, “This generation shall not pass away until all there things are completed.” We are living in the New generation or Testament that He spoke of. The agreement between the Father and the Son, that was sealed in the blood of Jesus will not pass away until Jesus returns at the end of the New Testament. God has forgiven all mankind, permanently for the New Testament period. There is nothing we can do to add to the agreement or take away from the agreement. Our sin has been paid for because God has forgiven all mankind about 2000 years ago. Repenting is the act of a person who does the statutes of Jesus, who love Jesus. Repenting is done because our conversion causes us to change our mindset, but with or without immediate repentance, the Father has already forgiven us and in effect Jesus has already saved us. The Holy Spirit may play a part in out coming to believe but the Holy Spirit is not required to save us because we, in our NT generation, were never under condemnation. This truth is so hard for a Christian, being taught by the church doctrines for so long, to hard to accept but it is the truth. If a person cannot accept that Jesus has done this, has saved us, and then reject His capacity to have completed our salvation, do what He has already done, then God, who loved us enough to have already died for us, despite our sin, will grieve because God cannot force you to accept the salvation Jesus has already paid for. This is the unforgivable sin. To reject so great a gift. Now do not kid yourselves. Christians continue to sin every day of their lives. There is no such thing as a person who has ever been converted into a pure and sinless person. Paul asked, if you continue in who then shall be your sacrifice if not Jesus? Sin has no sting, death has no sting. No matter what I do I cannot undo what has been done. My salvation is assured in the forgiveness of the Father. Once I understood this truth, such a weight was lifted. I am so glad for the Holy Spirit who teaches all things so I might change, day by day into or towards being a new creature. But even if I am a slow learner, I do not have to obtain purity or perfection because on my worst day, in my worst state of sin, I was already forgiven even before I did it. Now there is a conversion moment. A moment the blood is applied. A moment when we see the truth clearly. We are told, we need to call on the name of Jesus. Believing is the first step, calling out to God in the name of Jesus is the second step. Accepting there is nothing else required is the last required step. “It is finished”. But then, If you love Jesus you will keep His statutes. As for the person on an island who has never seen or heard about Jesus, having repented and calls out to God for forgiveness, that person is already forgiven, but does not know it, has no idea what occured between God the Father and God the son of man. Does the blood agreement cover them also. If they trust God for forgiveness, it would seem it does but Jesus declared there is no other way to the Father but by me. Jesus is not a liar or mistaken. Jesus has made that pathway available but can we use the same pathway if we are calling out in some other name or no name at all? There is no avoiding the imperative nature and importance that we get the message about Jesus out there. You must call on the name of Jesus to receive the forgiveness of the Father. The beauty of understanding this is that Jesus remains the Judge of these things and I would never condemn such a person but it seems to me that person on an island really needs us to buy a canoe.

Christian women can go to heaven, of course, but in Mike Winger’s church, women must keep silent. What is absurd is that in colleges, universities and seminaries, women are also professors. So Mike likely sat under women teachers. That’s okay for him. But in the first century in which Paul made a ruling that women must not speak in church which rolled back that they could pray or prophesy, so long as they have their head covered, but when women in the first century were almost certain to have no education or very little, to have them to be able to teach when they could not read the scriptures at that time written in Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic, but women are not allowed to teach if the teaching is men or women. But now women are well-educated. But how would Mike Winger view Hatun Tash, who took over Dr. Jay Smith’s ministry? Hatun is the one who brought to light all the different Qur’ans. But if she can’t talk about this, should all the videos which are helping Muslims leave Islam using the findings of Hatun Tash, be disqualified to accept the Lord Jesus?

Before God, God described “Adam” as not only the name of the man, Adam but also as the name of all humans. Apparently all people until Mike Winger may see women as human beings, but if a woman has no right to speak in a church, no wonder she can now give birth to her own baby and is registered now as “birthing person.” Mike Winger is supporting this?
