Recently, AllTime10s posted a video titled “10 Lies You Were Told about Islam” (- YouTube). The video attempts to respond to various false claims made about Islam and Muslims. However, the “research” for the video was incredibly sloppy, and a number of false statements were made. For instance, the video insists that ISIS is “anti-Islamic” because the group has targeted Muslims. However, the Qur’an commands its adherents to wage jihad not only against unbelievers, but also against “hypocrites” (i.e., Muslims who aren’t really following Islam). Not surprisingly, the early Muslim community was characterized by bloodshed, with various groups accusing other groups of being hypocrites and apostates. Since Muhammad called the first generation of Muslims the “best of peoples,” can we really say that it’s “anti-Islamic” for ISIS to wage jihad against Muslims they regard as hypocrites?

You cannot deceive people with this propaganda & quoting verses out of context. Every human being has intellect and understanding. If his ideas about Quran verses are correct than no Non-Muslim would be alive in Middle East, India, Spain, Portugal, most of Africa & Eastern Europe as most of the known world was ruled by Muslim Empires for hundred of years. Muslim believe that Quran is a book of God and would have certainly followed these verses & killed any Non-Muslim who did not accept Islam. This is does not happen as Quran like other religious scriptures sanctity of life. Billions of Muslims living in nearly every country of the world live peaceful lives & treat everybody equally without any discrimination of race, color,& religion as Quran totally forbids discrimination. A small extremist group does not represent billions of people. David Wood, you are deceiving yourself only & none other.

ISIS is pure Islamic, they have not done anything which their prophet didn’t do in his prophetic and jihadist career. Abu bakr al baghdadi got changed his name from Abu bakr, the first rightly guided caliph. Abu bakr fought ridda (apostate) wars.
