Gillette recently posted a short film titled “We Believe: The Best Men Can Be.” This Gillette commercial promotes anti-bullying and anti-harassment movements and draws inspiration from the “Me Too” campaign. While social justice warriors (SJWs) and feminists are cheering Gillette’s condemnation of “toxic masculinity,” critics point out that the commercial is yet another attack on manhood and masculine traits. It is certainly not a laughing matter, but when David referred to the women if Islam being forced to dress like a “frumpy ninja” I literally laughed out loud. I may not be able to look at the outfit again without hearing that description.
