The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ is the Comforter.
In John 14:16-24 below Jesus spoke in parables. Jesus says that He will send a comforter then says the comforter is the SPIRIT of Truth, NOT another person other than Jesus for Jesus is the truth, see John 14:6! Then Jesus tells His disciples that this SPIRIT of Truth is someone THEY ALREADY KNOW and that HE DWELLETH WITH THEM, and SHALL BE IN THEM. Then Jesus says while speaking of the Spirit of Truth which is the comforter, “I WILL NOT LEAVE YOU COMFORTLESS: I WILL COME TO YOU.” That means Jesus is that comforter and that He will come to them as He did on Pentecost. Jesus is that Spirit of truth that dwells in us for Christ lives in us, see, Colossians 1:26-28. I have more to point out below but I will mention Jesus also said below that I WILL MANIFEST MYSELF TO HIM. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ is the Comforter.
John 14:16-24 King James Version (KJV)
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the SPIRIT OF TRUTH; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: BUT YE KNOW HIM; for HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, and SHALL BE IN YOU.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU.
19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. ((The world won’t see Him but the disciples will see Him. Why? Because only believers have the Spirit of Truth in them and are alive because of it.))
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I IN YOU. ((What day? Pentecost when they received, The Spirit of God which is the Spirit of Truth which is the Spirit of Christ which is the Comforter… I IN YOU = Jesus/Spirit/Father in us!))
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father (Spirit), and I will love him, and WILL MANIFEST MYSELF TO HIM.
22 Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? ((By His Spirit in us. see, Colossians 1:26-28))
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and MY FATHER (Spirit) will love him, and WE WILL COME UNTO HIM, and MAKE OUR ABODE WITH HIM. ((Does “WE” = 2 people/Spirits in us? No. God is the Father and Son by His single Spirit as Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.” One what? One Spirit! Our/we = Father/Spirit of God/Spirit of Christ + Mind of Christ/God as a man so as to relate with humans. NOT a second person! The Spirit of His Son is the Spirit of God for there is only One Spirit and One Lord. Christ = One body and One Spirit, the Lord Jesus Christ!
“For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ.” 1 Corinthians 2:16))
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me. (( God sent His own single Spirit into creation to shed His blood for our sins for there is only One Spirit as the scriptures teach that God is a single Spirit see, John 4:24. Jesus says MY SAYINGS are the FATHERS SAYINGS because Jesus as a man will always point to His Eternal Holy Spirit because it is greater than a man. Jesus is truly that Spirit of God manifested in the likeness of a man, see 1 Timothy 3:16. The Spirit of God is the Spirit of Truth is the Spirit of Christ is the Comforter in us!
“Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is
CHRIST IN YOU,
the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:” Colossians 1:26-28 (KJV)
“There is
one body, and one Spirit:point_left:, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord:point_left:, one faith, one baptism ((spiritual baptism)),
One God and Father of all ((Jesus Christ))
, WHO is above all, and through all, and
IN YOU ALL:point_left:.” -Ephesians 4:4-6
Colossians 2:9 (KJV)
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
1 John 5:19-20 (KJV)
19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
