Making Sense of the Ravi Zacharias Scandal

After a team of investigators hired by Ravi Zacharias International Ministries recently announced that they had uncovered significant evidence of sexual misconduct by Ravi Zacharias, many of Ravi’s fans are confused, angry, and devastated by the allegations. But there’s an important lesson to be learned here, one the church can no longer continue to ignore. Ravi’s final message to the world may be his most important. David Wood discusses the issue.

Most of the profits in the bible did some really messed up things. Such as David had a kid with another man’s wife and when she got pregnant he had her husband killed to hide the truth.

My parents were sooo into his preaching and even his passing was such a big deal! I never understood the hype about him. Always sensed something wrong with this man. I was right. The Holy Spirit doesn’t lie lol

David, you appealed to will power a lot in regard to overcoming your sin, namely porn. I agree, we must take steps, but when we take steps, God works. I urge you to pray for will power as well as practicing your will power. That’s if you don’t, which I’m sure you do.

I agree with much of what you said in this video, however, I disagree with your assumption that Ravi was ultimately a Christian. The difference between him and all the great people in the Bible who fell short, was that those people repented. They didn’t die in their sins. Ravi showed no repentance for his sin, unless in the moments leading up to his death he confessed and we just don’t know. A true repentant heart would have led him to confess to his wife, his children, his employees, and publicly to all the people he lied to and stole from. But he didn’t. He died knowing he was lying to them all. And we can assume he was okay with that, considering even in the year leading up to his death, he was texting other women.
So logically and biblically I ask you: What would lead you to assume he was ultimately a Christian, who just messed up a lot? How can we who are dead to sin still live in it? All of us Christians sin, we cannot go one moment without sinning. However, the pattern of habitual, unrepentant sin is rotten fruit that would suggest someone never knew Christ at all.

Matthew 23:3/paraphrase… Listen, follow and obey what the teachers/pastors/rabbis/priests say/tell you to do, but do not imitate or copy them for they do not practice what they preached… Amen.

David, would you please help me expose another corrupt and hurtful so-called evangelist? Please. FB Messenger is my contact. Thank you for considering.

Amen brother

Is ravi in heaven or in hell?

I absolutely love David wood! Thank you for your honesty! It was very encouraging & I can relate so much. Praise our merciful Lord Jesus Christ! Thank you

Great video.

Question: how does the conviction of the Spirit and the mechanism of repenting and confessing sins work with a clinically diagnosed psychopath? What is the impetus for repentance if not the “guilty feeling” in your conscience?

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Does our life make void or confirm this statement ?
Matthew 5:13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

I can almost 100% garenteed you it started with PORN

Yeah I don’t think I would use the analogy “Christian Rockstar” their SUPPOSED to be Polar opposites , but sadly these days it’s “well blended”(Black +White=50 shades of Grey )

“use a leaders faults to destroy his reputation”??? Obviously he is a hypocrite if His “faults” don’t match his “reputation” this is why the church is being blasphemed on a LARGE SCALE :balance_scale: Because they won’t humble themselves & confess their faults so they CAN BE HEALED , but rather “sweep it under the rug” & send him away on a sabbatical so his name won’t be tarnished … Obviously “their name” ISNT what they portrayed/ Hypocrisy

All you did was just admit that you are messed up. Just like all of us. :+1: much love Dr. Wood.

Wow brother I have to say God-bless you bro God-bless you. In some ways I can relate to you man but I appreciate your honesty and which you bring to the table.

Great storyteller

In my opinion I would rather wait to let investigations take place then reach a conclusion about the whole situation and then evaluate somebody’s legacy as we must know that jumping to conclusions isn’t good as well.
