What I find ironic is that the Taliban deems women inferior both physically and intellectually-speaking when the world’s oldest University called al-Qarawiyyin in Fez, Morocco was founded by a woman in the 9th century named Fatima al-Fihri (that’s still opened and operational to this very day). I don’t know the whole story of why this young athlete moved to other sharia regimes. Maybe she was pressured to take the advice or orders of her coach, parents, or other authorities with money and power over her career and so had little or no choice as to where she could go?
Indonesia is Not as Sharia Compliance like Taliban Afghanistan or Pakistan, but currently more and more Women are wearing the Hijab, like for every 10 women, only 2 do not wear Hijab. I hope this does not go towards Taliban Sharia in the Future.
