In this installment of “Road Trip Q&A,” a former Muslim asks:

“Hi David. First I would like to thank you for convincing me to leave Islam and become a Christian. Even though I was a muslim I feel like your testimony is more relatable to me because even though raised a muslim I didn’t really care for my religion and I adopted a lot of similar beliefs to yours before you became a Christian. I am currently 17 and I have told my parents of my conversion, which they did not respond all that well to, constantly preach the Gospel and go to church whenever I can. So I wanna know do you have any recommendations about something and if Nabeel can help, how should interact with my parents who have become distant since the conversion, when should I tell them that I want to become a priest and any tips on how I should try to convert them to Christianity. I converted from Catholicism to non-denominational Christianity over a year ago, and it has been rough with my family but it’s better now, especially since I am going to a Christian college and studying to be a Youth Minister. It gets better with time.

I pray your parents understand you, new convert. Mark 10:29,30 will provide you the support and Psalm1:1-3 will make you successful in whatever you do. Be sensitive to the feelings of others and have empathy. Lord Jesus will put the words in your if you meditate on his teachings and make them you way of life.

Hi David, I am from India and a huge fan of yours and Sam’s work. I don’t know how to reach out to you so sending my question here. How do you deal with a talking snake in the Genesis account, Eve did not even get startled by the talking serpent. How would you explain this to a non believer. Are we to assume that animals and humans interacted in the Garden? Please help me with this. Thanks and God Bless You!

Somewhat disturbing to read that this young man mentions that he wants to become a priest which would seem to indicate that he has converted to Roman Catholicism NOT biblical Christianity.

JESUS IS NOT GOD DAVID WOOD I CHALLENGE YOU TO RESPOND TO THIS **PLEASE NOTE THAT WHEN JESUS SAYS “MY FATHER, OR YOUR SON” HE IS JUST CONFIRMING THAT HE ACKNOWLEDGES THE CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE AND THAT HE OBIDES BY THE LAW AND BLESSINGS OF DIVINE COMMUNICATION WITH GOD… JUST LIKE ALL THE OTHER PROPHETS BEFORE HIM.

  1. Many Christians say Jesus is both God and also the Son of God. Do they not realize that they are contradicting themselves? Put religion aside and use common sense. If anything has an offspring we all know the parent and child are two different individuals making Jesus and God not the same person. That being said, if you are worshipping Jesus and god you are clearly worshipping two Gods which is blasphemy and contradicts Christianity.

  2. I know you will argue that you believe in the Trinity and will give examples like water can be in 3 different forms liquid, ice and steam etc. But even if thats the case Jesus, the father and the holy spirit should all be equal correct? Then explain this:

Luke 6:12 “One day soon afterward Jesus went up on a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.”

Mark 1:35 “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”

John 14:28 “You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.”

John 17 1:26 “After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.”
^^ When Jesus says Authority he is meaning " that he is the one God chose to warn people so that they may have eternal life in heaven at that period” Jesus is also clearly stating that he is not GOD “That they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent” This is pretty self explanatory

Matthew 6: 9-13"This, then, is how you should pray: "‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.’
^^^ Once again Jesus say “OUR father in heaven” which is him acknowledging the creator of the universe and everything in it including Jesus himself.

Jesus is telling people to say “Our father in heaven” when they pray which further proves my point that Jesus is not literally the son of God or God is literally the Father of Jesus. Calling God father is not Strictly limited for the use of Jesus himself but all that Obey God.

Acts17Apologetics which of your or Nabeel’s stupid books would you be more likely to suggest? I’ve watched many of your and Nabeel’s videos and testimonies, but other than reading the Quaran online I have never read any other books having to do with Islam.

hi david wood thanks for informative videos im 29 years old woman from iran raised in kurdish familly suffered alot under sharia law that violated human right i become against abrahamic religions and turn to zoroastrianism but after 1 year jesus touched my heart all my doubts and fears vanished away my mother protect my conversion thanks jesus

Congratulations to this young man that decided to follow Jesus convinced by the power of the Word of God, the Bible. I know how difficult it is to leave Islam. This is new beginning for you of abundant life walking with Jesus, Welcome to eternal salvation through Jesus Christ our Saviour. Keep reading the WORD of God. I imagine this testimony and many other are inspiration to continue this wonderful ministry of truth. I’m 17 years old and I have been watching David’s videos for almost one year. I can say that people around the world have a distorted and deceived vision about what Islam really is (here in Brazil isn’t different, btw). I think we, the younger generation, are more curious about the subject than our parents or grandparents, so that we look for the truth and, finally, we figure out that Islam is not what the others just say. In addition, David’s videos helped me how to have great arguments against what people claim to be the ‘‘religion of peace’’. If you, David, are reading this comment, know that we, the younger generation, appreciate and we’'re grateful for your job. God bless you and your family! :slight_smile:

It is a DECEPTION. This current pope has bowed and prayed toward Mecca with a famous Imam (YouTube it). Pope John Paul 2 kissed a Quran (famous photo - Google it). This pope has said REPEATEDLY that they serve the SAME GOD.

Jesus said, “Do not call anyone on earth [who guides you spiritually] your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven.”

They teach a FALSE VERSION of history wherein the Catholic Church is the first one… this is a LIE. They didn’t start until hundreds of years after. Rome was a CESSPOOL of all kinds of evil. Historians of the day attest to this and Peter referred to it as BABYLON (which was common at the time).

At the council of Trent they deemed grace through faith in Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9) was NOT ENOUGH to merit salvation and that you need SACRAMENTS (anti-biblical religious acts) to be saved.

But the bible teaches GRACE ALONE and that Grace + Works does NOT equal salvation as Grace is synonymous with FREE and works is synonymous with PAYMENT. It’s like saying ‘salvation is free… but not unless you pay’.

They persecuted all who taught the TRUE gospel for centuries. They made it illegal to own bibles.

Please please please consider what I’m saying because I know what I’m talking about. My whole family is still Catholic… and I won’t step foot in one of those idol filled buildings. I feel nauseous sometimes when I think of what I was exposed to that God delivered me from, but I know He only did it for a purpose. I am qualified to witness to Catholics much as Nabeel is to Muslims.

Dear David/Nabeel,

Please give me advise. I am so lost and worried about my 16 year old son who has converted to Islam. He has Muslims in school that have completely brain washed him. He does not listen to anything I say and has irrational arguments (typical Muslim arguments that we have heard many times but to him make total sense). We have gotten to the point that we can not discuss religion because it turns into a heated argument where he simply does not hear what I am saying and I feel these discussions are hurting our relationship. He was a sweet, loving, caring, selfless and respectful boy when he believed in Christ as our Lord and Savior but since converting, he has become the complete opposite of all of that. He really does not understand or want to understand the trinity and feels that Muslims are true believers of one God because of all their traditions and forms of worship. If nothing else please pray for him that he may see the truth (his name is also Tommy). May God always keep you guys and your families and may God keep working through the two of you.
