The question is asked to Jesus on the sign. Jesus answered on signs of 3 days and 3 nights. The day is marked by light and the the night is marked by darkness. Here, it is not a matter of full day and full night but the SIGN as as an event whose presence indicates something else. The meaning of a sign is not based on its size but on its message. So, let us see from the time of Jesus death to his resurection if there are no 3 signs of day and 3 sign of night :
· First sign of night. Friday, when jesus died 15h darkness
· First sign of the day. Friday, day light after jesus death (Burriel )
· The sign of night between Friday and Saturday
· Second sign of night Saturday day
· Second sign of night, the night between Saturday and Sandy
· Tthird day sign Sunday morinng

Onah = day and night period in Hebrew → greek translation = 3 days and nights → 3 onah’s:
- Sunset → to sunrise = 1 night and day if you experience that = ohna
- Sunrise → to sunset = 1 dag and night if you experience that = ohna
- Sunset → sunrise = 1 night and day if you experience that = ohna
It took me 15 minutes to find that out in these days of the internet, God bless for that!

Friday evening: Jesus gave up the ghost on the cross after drinking vinegar and saying ‘It has finished’ untill saturday = 1 onah = 1 time period of day and night
Saturday morning: Sunrise new day, still presumed dead in sepulchre, untill sunset = 1 onah = 1 time period of day and night
Satuday evening: Weeping and Jesus still lies in the Sepulchre. Sunset until Sunday sunrise = 1 onah = 1 time period of day and night
Sunday morning: Sunrise, Jesus rises up from the death after 3 onah’s, or 3 time periods of day and night.

Sunset to sunrise = 1, sunrise to sunset = 1, sunset to sunrise = 1, which is the term Hebrews refer to in the Old Testament in the Book of Jonah, which in Jonah’s experience were 3 time periods.
Jesus spent 3 time periods of day and night in the heart of the earth, like Jonah in the belly of the whale, as a sign to the coming of the Word unto the heart of the sinners.
